Is there such company as DK Print Ltd Scotland UK?
I am working here in the Phlippines and I need your advise please on something important. I got an email from a headhunter/employer last month regarding a job opportunity in the UK and so I submitted my CV for review. After that, I didn't think much about it. A week later, I received an acknowledgement email from them saying that my application is in process and that if shortlisted, they will send me an appointment letter via email.
Surprisingly, last week (August 22) I received their email saying that I was appointed and that they will sponsor the flight tickets, visa and work/resident permit.. They also attached a soft copy of the contract outlining certain details (e.g. housing, work benefits etc)…BUT they will only process this after i procure and submit an AFFIDAVIT OF GUARANTEE (at cost to me but can be reiumbursed from their appointed county court attorney. They said that this is in line with UK law. Is this true? Then once I submit the document, they will forward to me the 1-month advance salary for expenses etc. thru Western Union.
And so, I emailed this attorney and just this evening I received his reply. I was shocked at the cost of procuring this affidavit. Its gonna cost me GBP 1,500. That's a lot of money for an affidavit! They also sent me a form to fill out (UK Visa Entry Clearance Form IM2A). I've attached it here for reference. It will take 4 working days for processing and once I pay them, they will issue a receipt to me to be reimbursed.
